Encaustic Mixed Media Sculpture (encaustic medium and oil paint, paper clay) on cradled birch wood, 8x8 in. each
I created triangular forms out of paper clay and let them dry for a few days. Then I glued them onto the substrate and additionally secured them with a staple gun in several places from the back side of the board. After some gesso, I used encaustics to create the textured surface and the melting effect.
